Having read other reviews we were keen to try this restaurant.The menu provided a wide variety of choices. All of our party chose a roast dinner, which we could not fault. The portions were generous. The food arrived at the table hot and was obviously fresh.The restaurant was not full, but we found the atmosphere to be calm and relaxing.The reason I have not given a full five stars is because one of the staff seemed miserable and uninterested, even though we tried to engage with...read full review

Sunday roast was excellent, very good value. Service was very good.Atmosphere was spoilt by parents letting their small children, run around the other diners, and not taking any notice.

Reopened a week ago under new ownership. Lovely warm welcome. Very busy as they have a massive beer garden. All staff working so hard. A big shout out to Archie - lovely hard working attentive young man.
