Looking for the perfect âgreasy spoonâ (it wasnât greasy it was delicious lol) on our way home to the midlands from a gig last night (we over slept and missed the hotel breakfast). Stopped at 3 other cafes fist but they werenât what we were looking for. This hit the spot. Next Colchester Dingus Khan gig we will definitely make this a stop on the way home. All the goodness of a small cafe - friendly staff, homemade-style food you can customize (within reason) and reasonably priced. We had omelettes for lunch, which were hearty and filling, so had to take home the dessert (cakes) to have later.

I needed to stay here for most of the day after dropping my car off at a local garage and waiting for it to be ready for collection. Great food, great coffee, great staff, and I felt welcome all day.
