First and only chippy that we’ve tried since moving to Colchester and our first experience was a pleasant one. Food was well cooked, hot and tasted great. Our second meal wasn’t as great. The fish in particular was rather oily and cold by the time we got it home, yet we live five minutes away. Chips were bland. I’d give ‘em a third go but it could be the last if not enjoyed as the meal isn’t as cheap as it used to be.Parking: Literally right outside on a bit of land...read full review

No matter what anybody says, Frydays fish and chips are by far the best in Colchester. In all the years I have been going there, I have never been disappointed with my purchase whether it be fish, sausages, pies or whatever. Everything has been to a high and satisfying standard. Well done and thankyou for your super food.

Beautiful fresh food hot and tasty great price chicken was delightful and succulent chips were hot fresh tasty service was amazing the woman on the front of house is excellent definitely recommend this
