Fabulous food, friendly and great service. Lovely atmosphere and the best fillet steak with Stilton and port wine sauce we have had in a very long time. Complements to the chef, cooked to perfection. The place was packed out and no wonder. Colchester’s best kept secret. We will definitely return.
Fabulous family run restaurant. Excellent food and friendly staff. Personal touches everywhere with the chef Geraldine popping out to tables to chat and check all is going well with your evening. I had scallops and bacon to start followed by the sea bass and dessert was sticky toffee pudding. Everything was fresh, beautifully cooked and presented. The only upset was I couldn’t have the Bakewell tart as it had sold out ?…… next visit hopefully ?. My friend had the white bait...read full review

Absolutely gorgeous gem of a restaurant. If you're even considering going, go. Waitress was amazing. Food was superb (I haven't had scallops cooked that well in many years). And it's got brilliant vibes.
