The Queen's Head
Queen St, Fyfield, OngarHad a lovely time at the queen’s head, the staff were extremely lovely and attentive.
The parking is to the left of the building. The door to the pub is on the side of the building when coming from the main road or the parking area.
The pub is gorgeous inside and although we didn’t have a reservation during Mother’s Day weekend, they were able to find a table for two.
Lovely place for a catch-up as although it was busy, conversation didn’t carry. Inside was really warm even though it was sunny outside so would be a lovely place for a hot summer’s day.
We were offered the à la carte and the sandwich menu. We opted for sandwiches which we’d assumed would be warm, however they weren’t. The skinny fries were really tasty and warm. The dessert was large enough to share between two and we weren’t able to finish after a main each.
The sticky toffee pudding was delicious and decadent with vanilla ice cream in a gingersnap.

The Black Bull
Dunmow Rd, Fyfield, OngarToday 16 cyclists had lunch at the Black Bull in Fyfield which was excellent. The staff were very efficient and the food was great, very large portions. Will definitely be back.
