Bishops Stortford Rd, Roxwell, ChelmsfordWe came as a huge group, with our dog, didn’t wait long for service and were served by a lovely waitress, Anna who went above and beyond for us. What a fab treat to come and eat a delicious roast, as a family in this lovely pub, with its beautiful views.

The Fox and Goose
Wyse's Rd, ChelmsfordI wanted to put on my review to praise the quality of the food and the waitress working at the fox and goose. She was on our wave length , joined in and started conversations and was very humerous. Its a shame she wasnt our waitress but that's just the luck of the draw.
I have marked down service as , although we had to book the latest booking for a meal (due to the logistics of getting family members from different areas to meet for a special birthday) we didn't realise that the service and attention would take a nose dive the closer we got to closing. The waiter was average but certainly not attentive. The gentleman I believe to be the manager was as chatty as my ex wife when we first started splitting up. Only asked if we wanted drinks when we got there, no further attempts or for coffees etc.
This meal was for my birthday and my wife was really disappointed with how we were left to one side due to the time she assumes. No mention to the birthday, no silly candle in some ice cream.... just gentle reminders they were near closing and should then actually be closed.
Food was spot on. Well done chef
Service from the waitress was worth five stars on her own, had she been our waitress. So I had to average her excellence with the poor service from the other two gentlemen. So thank you young lady but I'm afraid I didn't catch your name but you will know who you are.
Atmosphere is helped along with staff so she saved it with a 3 , as without her there would have been little atmosphere without our own.
We are all human and sorry you two but your bad day rubbed off on my wife and I. We hope you have better days tomorrow and the next day.
Disappointed.
Next time the spotted dog... high easter, guaranteed great service and food
