36 Imperial Ave, Maylandsea, ChelmsfordExcellent service, although small menu covered everything, did have a specials board nothing on there, but we went mid week. All meals freshly prepared and fresh. I did ask for extras which although not on the menu they accommodated. Fantastic food Good atmosphere, has facility for restaurant to be separated from bar area, hope this is done at busy times. Fantastic thank you

Blackwater Bar & Bistro
Marine Parade, Maylandsea, ChelmsfordEnjoyed a decent meal of excellent value for money and friendly staff. Food wasn’t exactly haute cuisine (would’ve preferred chips to crisps with my paninis and disappointed there was no seafood given its location, though the large breakfast menu looked tempting) but it was certainly well made for its kind, especially the Cointreau trifle. The experience was marred somewhat by surprisingly slow service for a modest-sized joint (although the paninis were just about worth the long wait), so overall 3.5/5, rounded to 4 as 3 would have been harsh.
