High St, Canewdon, RochfordOnly came in here for a drink so can’t comment on the food although came in on a Sunday lunchtime and the food looked and smelt great.
The staff were great although I felt the service could have been better. We were standing at the bar for a few minutes waiting to be served, staff were walking about in the restaurant area saw us in the bar area but we were still left waiting.
Maybe this was because they were prioritising food service but regardless I felt like they should have had someone on the bar.
It has a local country pub feel about it which is great, a very good selection of beers and ales and a really nice beer garden. The car park can hold a dozen cars but it’s quite tight.
Will come back again when the suns out and I’m in the area.

The Royal Oak Pub
RochfordChelsea served us today she was so very welcoming and polite. The food was large portions and very tasty will definitely return.
We also needed wheelchair access which was fine x

Gore Rd, Ballards Gore, RochfordWe were in the area over xmas and dtopped by for a quick drink as couldn't get a reservation to eat. All as seen & heard about on TV, very pleasant and worth dropping by. Blue badge holders parking well catered to on site.
Otherwise its on a busy road. Although well attended, I imagine both parking and crossing the road to be quite challenging, especially during busy periods or with children.
