First time coming here with family and we were all very very impressed. Fantastic range of vegan options, we all struggled to choose a dish. Food was absolutely delicious and service was perfect. We would all love to come back and try more options!Vegetarian options: Fantastic range of vegan dishes, the ones we tried were delicious and very filling, very generous portions.

I love Small Town. I am a proud flat white snob and before they opened my fav coffee shops were the other side of Suffolk, even London. Not anymore. Small Town make the most delicious and gorgeous coffee - each one is made with true love and care. The warm welcome and excellent service is everything when life is busy. Human kindness goes along way in my book. Every friend I have introduced to Small Town and client meeting I have had there, have all raved about it.

Great atmosphere at this local village pub! Not enough pubs like this remaining. Made to feel very welcome and we enjoyed some quality family time playing games after our walk round the Country Park.

Platform One Cafe

Maltings Lane, Clare Castle Country Park, Sudbury

We revisited Platform One a short while ago and only visited because of the decor! This railway station(which I listed) is in beautiful condition and was on the Sudbury to Cambridge line which has been defunct for roughly 60 years. The cafe is overlooked by the ruined castle and the decor is excellent. We only had a cup of tea and a toilet break.... I've been to a few on this old line with Cavendish being the next station. There is car parking nearby and outdoor seating on the platform so with the country park there is lots to do. A lovely cafe with friendly staff with outstanding decor. A great pity they closed these lines but fantastic that they were put to excellent use like this.
