I took my Fiancée to The Restaurant on Church Street for her birthday. Neither of us have ever eaten here before even though my Fiancée has lived in Saffron Walden since birth. What a lovely quiant place. Absolutely spectacular food, lovely staff and a lovely peaceful atmosphere. They had even prepared a birthday cake for her. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. We will definitely be returning soon.
The downstairs restaurant has a very cosy & intimate feeling. The waitress was friendly and clearly answered any queries regarding the varied menu. we all selected the same starter (wonderful scallops) and dessert (delicious, fruity crème brulée), but different main courses, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed.

Lovely intimate restaurant with great food and great wine. Linen tablecloths and linen napkins with fresh flowers and candles on the tables. Such a pleasure to visit. Would highly recommend.
