Since lumière achieving a Michelin Star, it was so dam hard getting a table booked for 1.. Weeks & months passed, and i found a slot for lunch time! And boy i was dam happy and excited at getting a table and my first visit to this place.. Having been to Cheltenham once going to that other Michelin restaurant, this time the restaurant was at the other side of Cheltenham! This was my first time in a Michelin star restaurant. I was worried about feeling a bit out of place but the staff were brilliant and made me feel really comfortable.Where do I start with the food!!! I've seen a lot of masterchef and always thought they were talking nonsense about the "experience" but it was just that. It was fun, it was challenging and very enjoyable. Too many highlights to list on the 8 course tasting menu and the wine pairings were excellent, that said - duck parfait encased in white chocolate was a unctuous and very moorish , as was the venison served with Cavalo Nero, Hen of the Woods, Celeriac, Wiltshire Truffle and jus. A combo that may sound somewhat pedestrian, but this was as good as it gets - delicious!!
