The Pelican Inn (Wye Valley) is a wonderful old-time Gloucester pub that serves an excellent selection of Wye Valley real ales. It is very much a men's pub, with no food served apart from crisps, and quiet music playing in the background. The pub is very popular, but can get heaving with rugby supporters on home match days, when a couple of TVs are put up for the occasion. Visitors can expect a great welcome and a cracking choice of well-kept cask beers at reasonable prices, in an amiable, quiet setting.
