What a great little find. In all the years I’ve lived in the county never even knew of this place. We stopped for a pint whilst waiting for a carol concert at the nearby stunning Gloucester Cathedral. We were served quickly and the beer was very tasty. This pub is a great reason for why people should start using pubs again like we used to. Buying alcohol from the supermarket isn’t really the same is it? Maybe pub chains need a bit of marketing to get out out again. Well done...read full review

Got absolutely smashed at this pub best night in a long time, fair play to the bar man Tommy he put up with alot but still kept his sense of humour he was brilliant, definitely be back ?

Love this pub , I live in Cheltenham and come over to the sword , it’s a lovely atmosphere and friendly , i and my partner are Gay and it’s lovely to be able to come to a pub that feels to be LGBT friendly, certainly non judgemental to whoever you are. I’m spreading the word around to other gay friends to try visiting the Sword , I think they will be pleasantly surprised. Well done to all staff , your an inspiration to the LGBT community .Adrian
