I had dinner with my family on a saturday evening here. The food was good, very friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. We were five in a small table and without even asking as soon as another table became available a member of the staff offered us a bigger one. The food came quickly and they checked halfway through the meal if everything was alright.The pub was pretty and full of History. Worthy to pay a visit!
'Discovered' this pub recently. Had been to an event at Gloucester Cathedral when we decided to have a drink before going home. We found this pub down a lane and were amazed at how pretty and quaint it was. The drinks were very reasonably priced and the food looked good. So we went back a few days later and we weren't disappointed. Excellent pub food. We will definitely go again.

Visited twice in the same week to meet family members who are regulars. Good location in the centre of Gloucester. Good selection of food on the menu and very pleasant staff. Reasonable prices. Very dog friendly.
