4 years ago I gave this place 3 stars... then 2 years ago dropped it to 1 with change of management. Luckily that awful manager has long gone and it's back on the up - good atmosphere, good for watching sport, good fun pub ?
Visiting old friends today and we popped here for a drink as it’s one of their locals, didn’t check the reviews until after we had come home but I think some of the other reviewers either have the wrong pub or have an agenda. The pub was very clean and tidy and looks to have been recently decorated? The staff were friendly, the food was good, not brilliant but better than the average chain pub, the beer was excellent, we would return again any time.

Visited once last Saturday, although it was quiet it seemed friendly enough. Unfortunately after drinking my pint i noticed the glass was really dirty, and it wasn't through the previous contents, ? We took the glasses back to to the bar in disgust, and was told they were cleaned properly, "don't think so "!! The barmaid didn't seem bothered, she was too busy on the phone. Won't be going back.
