For example, you can customize your burger and make your own meal. Pizza Express
Portraits by G.F Watts, Panton House, Haymarket, LondonWe had a spectacular time here for dinner and a jazz show! We had tickets for a table up at the front near the stage for the Liane Carroll trio in October 2024, and were pleased to be seated quickly and easily. They pack the people in, so it is a close, intimate experience. You'll be bumping elbows with fellow jazz enjoyers. But it is worth it! Our server was fantastic! The food was fine. The wine and drinks were flowing. The show was FANTASTIC! If you ever get a chance to see Liane....DO IT. If you want to take in a live jazz set or two...choose a show to get tickets to! We chose pretty blindly and had one of the best nights of our London visit!

Pizza Express
85 Victoria St, LondonLate afternoon snack at this pizzeria restaurant and it did not disappoint. The purple onion thin pizza with a side of fresh grated parmesan cheese was good but could have been more well down per our order, but the fresh italian tomato salad was excellent - I think it was the dressing that saved the day. On parties with seven or more people they include a 12.5% service charge, but not the case today. They offer a large glass bottle of Tuscany water for a fee, and looked classy on the table next to my pizza. The bathrooms were down a flight of stairs to the basement and was not expecting the modern decor.

Giraffe
120 Wilton Rd, Pimlico, LondonStopped in here this morning on our way to the station. Had such a great experience that we stopped in for dinner on our way back to the hotel this evening. This morning I had the Avo Toast with bacon and poached egg. Bacon was perfectly crispy and there was a good amount. The poached egg was done really well and not served watery. My husband had the strawberries and cream pancakes and enjoyed them. For dinner I had the prawn gyoza and loaded (toppled?) fries. He had the rodeo chicken sandwich. Everything was quite tasty. Oh! I had a giant cappuccino in the morning and a margarita this evening. He had a coconut smoothie and a strawberry smoothie and enjoyed both. Service was friendly. Ambiance was perfect for my liking: lively but not loud, clean, comfortable furniture. My only suggestion to the chef or manager would be to serve five gyoza instead of four. The number four in a few Asian languages (Mandarin and Japanese, as far as I know) sounds like the same word for "death" so it's always better to give five not four if you're superstitious. Plus five gyoza is better than four.

I was slightly less enamoured with the adult menu though there are meal deals and these include drinks and salad buffet. Caffè Nero
31-33 Warwick Way, Pimlico, LondonIt is a huge coffee chain like Starbucks coffee but I much prefer Caffe Nero to Starbucks coffee.\nTheir coffee tastes pretty good.\n\nI stayed near Victoria station. There are 2 Caffe Nero in/next to the station but there is another one which is closer to the hotel I stayed at, which is the one on Warwick way.\nThe one has lots of tables. There are some even outside. too\n\nAs they are open very early, it was helpful for me.\nUsually they are open at 06:00 except on weekends.\nI wish they would be open early on weekends, too.\nSaturday - 06:30\nSunday - 07:30\n\nCheck the official website, the opening hours are very accurate.\n\nOn my second visit, I tried Banana porridge or something. It was an instant one, which is a bit disappointing.\nOther than that, I love their coffee.

Pret A Manger
Retail, Unit 2 Regent St., LondonI regularly visit this particular Pret before a standing appointment and I always have a good experience.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. For example, on my most recent visit, one of the staff recommended a syrup to have in my latte. I was also not charged since it was my first time having it.
Due to the location, it is quite busy but I am usually able to find a seat and the general atmosphere is suitable if you want sit and enjoy your food and drinks.
My only feedback would be they should be more vigilant about who uses the disabled toilet. It usually is locked (which is good) but on one occasion, I could not use it as a homeless person was inside washing themselves. They also made a mess.
In summary, the thing that stands out for me is the excellent service provided by the staff.

Ole & Steen
56, No 2 Haymarket, St James's Market, LondonI visited the one opposite Leicester Square Tube station. It was 30C outside so we decided to cool off and get a snack. I ordered a lemonade to go with my cake not realising that it would have ginger in it. It was nice, just not what I expected and could have done without it.\nThe big issue I have is, this is a prime location, cafe was full which I can see would be usual in such a busy place, so why have only one toilet in the building? As a result, the queue was long with at least 7 people in front of me and many more behind, queuing up the stairs. This lead to the bathroom being not very clean. \nFor a place that serves food, I would expect clean facilities. Where do their staff go? Is it the same toilet or a different one? Is there toilet just as dirty or do they use the dirty one the customers use and have to queue just as long? There is too much competition in London for bakeries to accept dirty facilities in this one.
