The pub of choice in the locality. First for great service. Whether you meet one of the trusty old-timers or a brand-new trainee, the service is always the same high standard. Equal first, the beer. The Oak always reliable for 'proper' beers and interesting guest ales. (I lament the intermittent presence of Ghost Ship, but then absence makes the heart grow fonder...) Cosy pub, a bit out of the way but there is a bus stop outside and some parking on side roads. Staff really nice and they specialise in exceptionally good pies! Attended a family birthday party which they accommodated well. A jukebox as well!

First visit to this lovely traditional two bar pub. Front bar is L shaped with (I'm guessing) a mid 30s counter and dartboard. Spacious lounge bar panelling is certainly from the pre war era and leads out to a large garden. Decent drinks range with two cask beers available.
