The service was very good. The person who served us upstairs was excellent. We would have liked the beef but were told it was sold by 1.30. If the beef is so popular and you serve Sunday lunch until 5, I am not sure why more beef is not available. The chicken however was nice and moist. The Bear and Staff is an amazing experience. I've passed it so many times but we wandered in after a theatre trip and the staff were amazingly friendly. Great atmosphere and not packed at all. Comfortable and easy to have a conversation without being drown out like some pubs you can go to. Really enjoyed the experience and will be back again for sure!

Stopped here for dinner before seeing a play. The food was great and the atmosphere was cozy and classic.Unfortunately, I felt bad for the waiter/bartender who was taking care of at least 6 tables by himself. Not his fault, but the service was slow causing us to be late to our play.
