Was pleasantly surprised when we visited. We needed to find somewhere to eat as our daughter was in a show at the Altrincham Garrick Play House. The food was excellent. I had fish and chips and the portion size was just right. The waitress who served us was also very pleasant and helpful.
Held a wake here recently. The staff were wonderful. So friendly. Food was great and pub clean and welcoming.Would definitely go again and recommend to all.The only thing I woukd say is that they need to sweep the pavement outside the pub. It let's it down.Give it a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised. ?

A fantastic pub with excellent service and friendly staff. My family and I enjoyed a hearty meal that was generous in size and cooked to perfection. All in all the Old Packet House embodies what a traditional English pub should be.
