The Waterside Restaurant Garden & Cabin

The experience was fantastic, such a lovely midweek meal. \nAmbience was stunning and the food was delicious, cooked to perfection. \nOur waitress was so lovely and polite nothing was an issue. \n\nWe enjoyed the midweek steak special, upgraded the wine for just £4 to a lovely bottle of Rioja 2019 along with upgraded to fillet steaks. \n\nThe fillet was cooked to absolute perfection, I would highly recommend a visit here. \n\nEverything was tasty and will definitely be returning.

Bulls Head

We had a lovely meal at Bulls Head pub on Saturday lunchtime (7 June). The meal of homemade beef chilli was delicious as was the cheese and onion pie. The staff were very friendly and we had really good service. Would highly recommend the Bulls Head, Ogden and will no doubt make more return visits.

King William IV

Once again another lovely meal at the King Bill. Great service from Angela and the team and as usual, lovely food prepared by Bayram in the kitchen. The pub was lovely but not too busy. Great night ?

The White House

I visit the White House regularly and it’s consistently good in a beautiful location right on the top of Blackstone Edge.\n\nWe’ve always found that the menu has something we like (mostly usual country pub food) with the specials board having less common dishes such as venison, wild boar and various fish dishes.\n\nNever had a bad meal there.\n\nIf you like a country pub with views in a rural location then I’d recommend it.

Bake 'N' Butty

Picked up a Greens Pies Cheese Pie from the farmers market at Ramsbottom. The best pie I’ve had in a long time. The pastry was beautiful. Definitely be going back for more.

Fat Panda Chinese, fish & chips

Best Chinese in the area. Lovely and fresh. Never had better. Good portion size. Very accommodating to requests and allergies. Friendly guys running it. Just need you to get a card payment option for delivery now and you’re best in the world :)

The Red Lion

Stumbled across this pub yesterday after a 12 mile hike. It had a lovely friendly atmosphere, and a nice vibe. Also had the best priced pints in the whole of Manchester to date.

The Rake Tapas

An authentic feeling Spanish tapas, with gorgeous, unique & cosy interior, in a lovely location. The food was unreal & the sangria was perfect. It’s now my favourite tapas restaurant by a mile. Will be returning regularly!

Bobbys at The Square

I had the medium breakfast at Bobby’s Café and it was perfect – hot, tasty, and really filling. My tea and toast were perfect and im fussy.
My son had the kids’ burger, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The portions were generous, the food came out fresh, and the service was friendly. A great little place for a proper meal – be back soon. ?

Bay of Bengal

Food quality faultless!. The menu has changed completely from our last visit, less variety looks more like a typical straight forward Indian menu? yet, we rate this as one of two restaurants we're happy to visit in the area. Where we live outside of Leeds, we're offered nothing of an equivalent. The food is great!, we loved it even though the menu is a disappointment....don't know if the establishment is under new ownership/staff, dining in under bright lights?, interior needs a re-think. Parking is non existant/impossible outside the premises. Lots of issues that need to be addressed because whats being eaten there, beats the pants off loads of other places, and that is the truth!

Hare on the Hill

We visited on Friday for lunch with some friends. FIrst time we have eaten here since the new menu was introduced. We all loved all the food which was all delicious especially the steak, black garlic prawns and the lamb dish. everything was excellent as usual

Littleborough Balti Taste

I love a weekly treat from Littleborough Balti. Staff are very obliging at helping to sort my orders out. Delivery is excellent and not having to wait too long.
Food always hot on arrival and driver is very polite.

Thamin

I recently hosted my son’s 1st birthday party in the private room at Thamin Restaurant, and it was such a wonderful experience. There were around 30 of us, including lots of little ones, and the staff were incredibly accommodating and supportive from the beginning.
They provided highchairs, made sure there were food options for the kids, and were happy to help with anything I needed on the day. The buffet had a great variety and all guests were happy with the food.
The service really stood out — the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, which took a lot of pressure off me and allowed me to actually enjoy the day. Everyone had a lovely time, and I’m so grateful for how well we were looked after.
Highly recommend Thamin restaurant if you’re planning a celebration — they helped make my little boy’s first birthday really special.

Falcon Inn

A bit of an old fashioned boozer, which I quite like. Not a lot of choice on tap though. Everyone there was on lager, including me - which I’m not a huge fan of. But not much to complain about.

I was the last customer and I can’t believe it. The fish and chips tasted absolutely brilliant. The chips was soft in inside crunchy from the outside amazing. I think he has changed his potatoes amazing chips the fish was just out of this world. Amazing I always come to this fish and chip shop every time I go passing, this is the third time and I am going to give this fish and chips shop 10 out of 10 One of the best fish and chips I have ever had thank you very much

Take away service only, you can order on phone and collect so your not waiting long. Its cash only.
Food is always tasty and well presented in re usable tubs which we use again and again. Always hot even by the time we get home to eat.

The Moorcock Inn

I haven't stayed here, but came for a meal recently with friends and we thought it was excellent. The staff were nice, service was quick and it was a good looking place. The food was excellent, fairly priced and a fab menu with plenty of choice. Quick service and generous portions too!
The only negative was that my friend booked it following their website saying they were dog friendly. However, the restaurant isn't. They were still able to accommodate us, and I am supportive of the restaurant not taking dogs, this just needs to be made clearer when booking. I'll be back soon.

The Queens

A locals pub, right in the centre of Littleborough. Many friendly faces stroll here for a good old fashioned evening out with friends and neighbours. There's a short range of good ales, many shorts and lagers to go at. A pool table sits at the back to cover those with sporty credentials. The floor is flagged, uneven, and fabulous.

Georgieo's Chinese Takeaway

It’s not a restaurant- so takeaway atmos only. Staff friendly and promptly filled telephone order. Food was good and more than generous in quantity for the price.
Will be back.

Butterbean Sandwich Bar

Quality food every time. I've been going here for 12 months now since moving into the Borough, and I've not been disappointed once.
Always happy to make off the menu like my 5 egg scrambled eggs and beans ?
But you seriously need to try their club sandwich. Spot on butty, a go too for my lunch.

Great food and great service. Best of all, they deliver so brilliant for the weekend bed orders.

Chippy Licious

I don’t eat chippy very often as most are terrible these days. Called here today and just had to leave a review.

Best chippy Iv had in a long time. The chips were cooked just right and the fish was cooked fresh when I ordered. The owner was apologetic that I had to wait 6 minutes. Not long at all for a fresh cooked fish.

Fish was massive! Perfect amount of salt and vinegar. The gravy and curry were all spot on too.

The lady that served me was very polite and service came with a smile. Lots of chippys are very expensive but this place was very reasonably priced.

They don’t accept card payments but as there is a cash machine virtually outside, it wasn’t a problem. Travelled over from Todmorden and can’t see me going anywhere else for fish and chips in future. All round good experience. Many thanks.

The Wine Press

A memorable tour that ended with a spectacular view\n\nAfter a pleasant walk around Hollingworth Lake, we decided to close the experience at The Wine Press, a pub that stands out for having one of the most stunning and serene views we've ever enjoyed. Sitting in their beer garden, the tranquillity of the atmosphere next to the lake landscape was simply unforgettable.\n\nWe opted to try a real ale: The Black Sheep. Its taste was more bitter than we expected, and while it didn't quite meet our expectations, we understand this may be a matter of personal taste. The beer menu certainly shows promise and left us wanting to return to explore more options.\n\nOn a future visit, we hope not only to discover other beers, but also to enjoy a dish from the menu, which already looks tempting. The Summit Inn

Booked a table for 26 of us last weekend and the pub garden was a great space for us. Service was amazing even with just two people on the bar and drinks and food were great. Couldn’t have asked for better from the staff.

Dragon City

This place has changed over the last 12 Months very much better food and service. Although lately had to wait nearly 2hrs which is ridiculous for food when kids included too not the best but we all enjoyed it when it came.

Tandoori Flames Indian Takeaway

We have specific dietary requirements around the use of ghee, Tandoori Flames are always happy to accommodate us and the delivery people are all very friendly. Great food, great service.

Pizza Mario

Unplanned kebab purchase. I've never found a decent place in Littleborough, until now. This was stunning. Guy was meticulous at checking if it was properly cooked and it was. Tiny old fashioned place, knocking out excellent food

The Olive & Pickle

If you’re visiting Hollingworth Lake and thinking about a lovely place to eat well the olive and pickle is a must! I popped in while working locally as a thought of treat myself to a nice breakfast as it looks really appealing and I certainly wasn’t wrong. Staff are wonderful very pleasant and had a great conversation with the chef even come out to serve my food which was my special goal to which was poached egg with Hallam and on the side was a lovely little touch of chutney that just took it to another level. Lovely coffee too! The loive and pickle is an absolute gem of a cafe and highly recommend it for those passing or visiting Hollingworth Lake

Beach - Pub & Carvery

I am writing this review as over the years I have felts welcomed and felt the staff do go above and beyond for customers, It’s is not always possible to give the best customer service on a Sunday as it is the busiest with Sunday dinner, We went in for a mix menu order with a group of 10ppl with youngest being age 3years old to the eldest being 72years old. You made as feel so welcome. From take orders to serving. Yes beef was finished in carvery and that is not anyone’s faults. The taste of food was amazing. It was cooked to perfection. From carvery to fish and chips, to kids mac and cheese oh and can’t forget the jacket patato, the fish was finished but staff went above and beyond to serve and informed it would take a little longer but will be able to do that. I am so thank ful for the service as we really enjoyed our time at The beach pub and carvery today, I did had to take name of staff which they probably felt was the odd but I want to take those opportunity to thank you guys for service and food services to us today, not forgetting my 3years giving a sweetcorn as a warm gesture. Therefore AMY, LUCY AND IZZY, you guys made us all very happy with your service and mostly that is what matters when we go out to eat. Food was 10/10 xxxx see you soon xxxx
