We were greeted by welcoming staff who served us efficiently. Food was tasty and plentiful. We would definitely recommend a visit for good food, lovely staff and football banter. We will visit again when in the area and definitely when LFC win the League next season! Thanks for a fun memorable meal and wishing everyone at The Indian

Eagle & Child Inn

The service was utterly outstanding, drinks ordered and within minutes of being seated our starters came out. The food was wonderful, enjoyed by all. Checks were done to see if we were happy with the meal and if we required anything else , which is always the sign of excellent hospitality. I can confidently say that you would have good service and a fabulous meal, highly recommend the Eagle and Child.

Also do great coffee if you want to pop in during the day.

54 Bridge St, Ramsbottom, BuryIf you are lucky enough to get a seat you are in for a real treat. The BEST place for breakfast in Ramsbottom. It’s small and easily missed on the high street but wow, the truffle scrambled eggs is absolutely incredible and never seen that before on a menu. It has far more options than the boring avocado & toast which most places stick with and they really experiment with different flavours (including a breakfast with a Kimchi twist). Superb service too and really friendly, not to be missed!!

Coming back as a group of friends to celebrate felt special. The atmosphere was as warm and welcoming as ever, making it easy to relax and enjoy being together. The food was consistently excellent; wholesome, generous, and full of flavour ….exactly the kind of comforting, well-cooked dishes you look forward to after time away. The selection of beers and wines was just as good, offering something for everyone and perfectly suited to a long, unhurried meal.
The staff were, as always, fantastic: friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleased to see returning faces. There’s a sense of familiarity and care that makes you feel at home, even after time away.
And then there’s the view. Looking out across the moors is simply unbeatable—nothing can top it. No matter how far we travel or how long we’re away, that view never loses its impact and always feels like a welcome back.
The Fisherman’s Retreat continues to be our must-visit whenever we return home. With great food, excellent drinks, wonderful staff, and an unforgettable setting, it remains the perfect place to celebrate and reconnect.

Every dish we ordered was delicious and full of flavour. Freshly made when we ordered so it was all fresh and hot when it arrived at our table! Our 5 year old absolutely loved the noodles and already wants to return! We will definitely be returning and highly recommend! Bury Old Rd, Walmersley, Ramsbottom, BuryHad a 3 course meal for 2 this afternoon in the Oscars restaurant inside the Red Hall Hotel. Very nice location, free parking and easy to find. Great selection on the fixed 3 course menu, had the Halloumi starter, home made cheese and onion pie for main and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Not too busy, staff were great and informative, had a very enjoyable afternoon with my wife. We will definitely return in the near future.

We have been coming to Kan’s for two decades - growing up locally, this was my family’s go to takeaway for a Saturday night. I am impressed every single time. The staff are always friendly and attentive, the service is fast and efficient, and the food is authentic, delicious, and of excellent quality. Additionally, the portions are very generous, with each container being full to the top. My personal favourite dishes are the salt and pepper chicken and Singapore vermicelli.

Two different people ate these and both loved them, another had donner and enjoyed that also. One of the best take-aways around, would recommend.
