The food was very nice. However, be careful buying soft drinks by the glass as they are an absolute rip-off. £2.65 for a small glass of coke, what a con won't be making that mistake again.
Early evening decision to get some fish and chips. Had a scout across google maps for Basingstoke locations, found Olivers! We went approximately 7pm on a Friday night, absolutely rammed in the takeout room. But the staff were very friendly, and churning out orders minute by minute. Great service, great quality and quantity of food, great timings despite being super busy. Especially (and hard to find) great helpings of extra extra salt and vinegar. Still the best fish and chips in the Basingstoke area. The reason you have to wait is because everything is freshly cooked and the takeaway gets very busy. The car park is very small so you will probably have to use the road. It’s excellent service, great value and very, very tasty.
