5 of us , family, had booked to have a meal here on Friday night. We entered an empty pub, and told there was no beer and very limited menus as they had electrical problems. We decided to stay, ordering drinks that were available. We awaited the food with trepidation, but were happily surprised to receive 5 freshly prepared meals which we thoroughly enjoyed. Well done to the staff who must have been relieved we hadn't walked out. They were lovely and we hope they get back to normal...read full review

We have visited the Crown Stirrup many times over the years and had both bad and good experiences so we were wondering what it would be like this time as we visited for a pre Christmas dinner. Sadly as soon as we walked in we were told there was no draught beer, cider or lager and very few bottles and this was exceptionally disappointing for us. Stopped off for a quick bite to eat had a stunning ham and cheese sandwich, bread really fresh crisp salad with a lovely honey and mustard dressing, proper thick cut ham and a tasty cheese. Served with crisp and fluffy chips . Very friendly staff it was mid afternoon Tuesday so we were the only customer so nice and quiet. Clean toilet nice looking pub
