“Never been here before. In a nice setting in Sheet. Large garden for eating/drinking outside. Menu was restricted but the pizzas were lovely. Service didn’t seem very enthusiastic but maybe because in a small village. No information as to where to order sit etc.
we sat outside and there was a mixture of people.
One child came up to our table and just stood there and stared like Oliver Twist. No one said anything so I told him to go away which he did. Pictures of the village green.”

“Thought we'd give this place a try. This was on a weekday lunchtime, and it was reasonably quiet, and you order at the bar with a table number. The sandwiches are massive haha. Nice beer and friendly staff. Certainly a place we'll try again.”

“Popped in here as it was listed as dog friendly and my mother and I had traveled to petersfield for a dog walk exploring the local lake and got hungry. So glad we did! What a lovely little pub! The gentleman holding down the fort acting as barman and waiter etc (I presume the Landlord!) was lovely and friendly, welcoming and kind- none of that small pub for locals atmosphere at all! I got chatting with some of the regulars and it seems to be a very well loved and well used local for many but one you can step in to as an outsider and be happily welcomed. Great selection of drinks and it was lovely to see they stock the non alcoholic Asahi! Never had that behind a bar before and I was very glad to see it.

The food was lovely, the chips were cooked to perfection and the meze bowl was flavourful and wonderfully put together. I always worry about meze bowls being bland but the flavours were beautiful and very well balanced to compliment each other.

We are already looking forward to coming back now that we have 'discovered' this wonderful little gem!

Vegetarian options: There were vegetarian and vegan options for both starters, mains and puddings”

“As per the heading, this is a sports bar. I was here on a Tuesday afternoon, when the other pubs in Petersfield were quiet. This had a lively crowd. It's high summer, so Wimbledon tennis was being shown on the plentiful TV screens... though I don't think many were very interested in that! Most were there for the craic. Good choice of Keg beers, choice of only two Cask beers.”

“A wonderfully welcoming spot right in the center of town with a warm fire, delicious beverages (both beers and the coffee is exquisite) and great food. The rooms as cozy and you really feel like the place has been there since the beginning of time. That said, the rooms feel fresh and clean and the beds are comfy. While currently not dog-friendly, we understand there's plans to bring some rooms online which would allow four-legged guests to be as welcome as the two-legged ones.Rooms: Cozy, freshly updated and clean.Nearby activities: Right in the center of town. Plenty of good walks to head out on and if you're there on a market day, it's only a minute away.Walkability: About 4 minutes from the train station and 1 minute from the center of town. Great base from which to head out on hikes in the area.Food & drinks: Great range of drinks and the food is delicious and the produce fresh.”
