Had some spare time on a work day this week and stopped in for lunch. Excellent food, elevated pub classics along with some more restaurant style dishes. Fabulous wine list and environment and I'm looking forward to returning "off duty" so I can sample it. Big focus on English wine which is what we need in an area that is known for producing it.
Good beers, good menu, try the Peppers on the snack board you won't regret it. They go so well with a pint of Perridge.Good relaxed atmosphere, very well decorated just that bit different. Sunday roasts for you to carve at the table - got to be tried on my next visit.

Great since the refurbishment, welcoming staff and quality local food. Not overpriced, not too fast, just right. Great wine recommendation and prompt service. Look to return for Sunday lunch. My only critique, the table near the rear door does suffer a bit of a draught.
