What a lovely friendly venue. We were doing a Portsmouth treasure hunt which lead us here, and I'm very pleased it did. The food was outstanding. Probably one of the best lamb shanks I've ever had.Food & drinks: Lamb shank was delicious and such a great portion!
We had lunch today. We don't visit Portsmouth very often but always come here. Last time I told them about a local Gin I like and was very pleased to say they had this. Unfortunately that was the only good part of my lunch. The chips were of the frozen variety. Not the triple cooked we loved on previous occasions. No baguette and overcooked steak in the sandwich. We had a wonderful mother's dayunch today. Great roast dinner excellent service with bright welcoming staff. Food really wholesome and brilliant. A great ?.Food & drinks: Brilliant food and drink- staff wonderful. You can't go to old Portsmouth and miss this gem.
