We just popped in for a late lunch. We both had burgers which were really good. The chips were amazing. Maybe a little expensive but that’s the times we’re living in. Service was fast and friendly. It’s a nice place. The atmosphere was a little dead but that was likely due to the time we visited.
What can I honestly say about The Alex? I remember coming here a LOT as a student (less said about that the better) and always thinking it could only be improved if they served food... Couple years later (albeit a bit late for my late night student antics) and they're serving food! And what incredible food at that...!Newly reopened with a selection of smash burgers it's hard to pick which one you want out of their menu! Always a very relaxed place, especially at lunch times. The food is a good price and tastes amazing. If you want a bite and a drink highly recommend stopping by, or if you are planning an extended stay, then nab one of the board games from the side and have a good time.
