We normally stay overnight in Southampton before and after going on a cruise and, on this occasion, we travelled from our home in Devon a few days earlier as our 56th. wedding anniversary fell a couple of days prior to embarkation and we thought we would celebrate it in The Red Lion, our usual watering hole when in the city. A unique pub full of history and excellent food. The beer is well kept. A few 'local characters there.My only criticism is that I'd like my egg yolks runny next time please.
