I visit Winchester every few months to see family and on almost every occasion, we visit this pub. The food is good value and reliable, but the reason we always return is the fabulous staff and the general ambiance. It is generally busy, which reflects the popularity of their food, drink and service. Popped in to meet a friend for drinks, the place was packed, tables full of food and smiling faces as they demolished their food.Friendly staff and a healthy stocked bar.Whilst there (Tuesday) they had a really good quiz on.

Great stop off on way to hotel. Food was excellent and great value. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed our visit.Kid-friendliness: Nice atmosphere to sit and eat with children
