My wife and I along with our 5 year old son called in to this pub as we were passing by, quite late and asked if food was available, it was not a busy night and it looked like every one was just relaxing, the owner explained there was only limited food available as they were not really expecting any one to dine there by that time but he was happy to cook something for us, the food was excellent, the portions were generous, and service was prompt and very friendly, I would recommend...read full review
We were stuck on the M3 for several hours, and after being able to exit the motorway we decided to call at the Rising Sun as it was advertised on a road sign. We were all welcomed, and Glynn was a fantastic host. Our meals were 100%.Our dog was also given water and treats .Unfortunately we left a walking stick behind by accident, but Glynn saved this for us and we picked it up today.What a great place to stop at, we will definitely be going back to sample more of the menu and...read full review

Came in for a few drinks and was very nice atmosphere and welcoming staff although whilst ordering drinks one of the people i was with overheard an adult working there speaking quite rudely including swearing to some much younger staff (obviously a child) apart from that lovely pub, watching the food go past the portions were great sizes and staff were welcoming would recommend if your going to eat.
