We were staying in the area and decided to pop in for our evening meal. What a treat! From the warm and friendly lady who answered the phone informing us we could have a table, everything exceeded expectations. The pub was buzzing with people for drinks and food. Our waiter was Matthew who has all the qualities to be an excellent leader. He was so welcoming, super efficient and very happy to meet all our requests. The pub has always been great, but now they have Hayden working there, it's even better. What a character he is, customer service skills are unmatched. Very attentive to the customers, shows an interest, which just makes the visits even more worth while. Look forward to visiting again.

Standard chain pin experience. Food was "ok" and reasonably priced. You get what you're paying for. It would have been the standard 3 stars, however; Service and the range of real ales & cider (don't drink it but know it's an important factor for some) give it that xtra Star.Place does need a bit of a spruce up. They've obviously been trying but do the ceilings guys
