Ok to use after the gym if I can't be stretched to go to Cafe Nero, a lazy option. Coffee good, sausage roll also good. My main criticism is charging an extra 60p for an oat cappuccino. The only other café I've come across in Harpenden that charges more - 30p - is Café Neeo. Oat milk costs the same when purchased unless you're getting the over-priced and no different quality-wise ordinary oat so 60p extra? No! That's a con frankly and it puts me off using the café.

I only have one complaint about Monty's, and that is that it closes too early on week nights. We regularly pop in on the weekend when we visit the park. But on week nights when we pop in for swimming lessons, the cafe is usually closed... At 5pm. But there are still people in the restaurant area. Surely those people could do with a coffee or a hot chocolate?! Seems like it closes an hour too early.
