100% recommend this pub. We recently held a 50th birthday in the private upstairs rooms here. We had the best night. The pub has so much charm and character - it made our party feel special and unique. Huge shout-out to David, the Landlord, who went above and beyond to provide a great spread of food and helped us make the party such a fun night. Gorgeous old pub with a superb selection of real ales and craft beers on tap. The friendliest staff in town that make you feel so welcome. We visited for lunch with our toddler and all polished the lot off! Great vegetarian options and the ‘best fish and chips’ my husband has had in a long time. So lucky to have this place as our local.

Arrive early or even book to guarantee a table for the limited choice but excellent food.I recommend the chicken pot pie and the balmoral chicken. Also the Mozzarella and halloumi fries are really tasty
