This is the best pub in the local area ? landlord & landlady, staff are amazing people, lovely family atmosphere. Beer is top level, have a Guinness though, levels above anywhere else!!!!!! You won’t have just 1 trust me ??♥️

Wow, what a great find. The pub/restaurant is brilliant. Excellent food and service. Great menu and a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Dog friendly in the bar, with plenty of room between tables for our two large Labradors (there are only three tables so you need to book). I cannot praise the staff highly enough, they make you feel you are one of their regulars. The food is all home made (including the chips), fresh vegetables. We have recently stumbled upon this pub in Standon.It is warm, friendly and down to earth.Each day of the week has a different flavour of food.Sunday was Famous bagels, with friendly, fresh service I chose the Bacon brie and cranberry bagel. Smells as good as it tastes.Lovely people, lovely town. Great food. Will be going back next Sunday for Hot Salt Beef.And a large white wine and a Guinness 2023 awarded. Boom BOOM ?
