Never been here before but the menu looked good. As soon as we entered, we were given a lovely warm greeting and shown to our table. The drinks order was taken straight away and the drinks arrived within a couple of minutes (as did all future drinks orders). We shared a couple of starters, both of which were delicious. Well done to everyone at the White star. I bought my family for a Sunday lunch last week. The roast was delicious, lovely that you serve different vegetables and the potatoes were perfect. The staff were delightful and the whole place has a pleasant feel about it. We didn’t use it but there is a lovely, safe area for children to run around and play. We will definitely visit again.

It was a lovely day, so decided to have lunch in the garden, unfortunately the staff weren't happy about that and said they would put our food on a table and we were to collect and then when finished return to that same table, never had hostility like this in a pub that serves food and provides tables outside presumably to enjoy a meal in the nice weather. Having said this the food was lovely!
