The St, Hastingleigh, AshfordVery friendly welcome from the landlady in this old village pub, serving excellent real ales. There was a pop up street food vendor in the garden - worth a try next time. Just loved all the history within the various rooms, especially the stone floored snug.

Dukes Head
The Dukes Head Main Road, AshfordCame here last.night following recommendation. Wasn't disappointed - the food was exceptional and filling and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend this restaurant. My partner & I will certsinly return. Thank you.

The Drum Inn
Stone St, Stanford, Ashford*Update on previous review below*Sad to say that I hadn't been back to the Drum since my last review which was during Covid.Today we decided to visit again.The pub is literally on our doorstep, yet for no known reason we always seem to go elsewhere, The Drum doesn't seem to be on our radar, but today four of us stopped by for some lunch and oh my, it was absolutely superb!I had Clams in a garlic and spring onion jus with a side order of fries. Others in the party had filled Ciabatta's and fries and my Mum had the Scotch Bonnet, garlic prawns. All of which were cooked to perfection and served beautifully. The bar man/waiter was so friendly and was genuinely happy to serve us. The food here is a major step up from the usual pub grub and a high percentage is home made.Please, please make time to visit this gem of a place. I have learnt my lesson and we will definitely be back soon.My husband and I have just returned home from having a meal at the Drum Inn in Stanford. They are not doing the Government half- price meals but that didn't matter to us as we just wanted to go somewhere different. The location is really nice and the place this evening was buzzing, clearly it is somewhere on the map for local motorbike clubs, as well as being a listed camp site. The staff were really friendly and they have worked hard in putting social distancing measures in place; the pub itself was spotless and we cannot wait to revisit in the near future.

The Airport Cafe
Main Road, Sellindge, AshfordProper old school transport cafe, had a breakfast that came with a mug of tea and a doorstep slice of toast, friendly efficient staff, clean facilities, parking for hgv,s as well, not many of these great places left well worth a visit.......

The Tiger Inn
Scotts Ln, Stowting, AshfordLovely atmosphere...staff were fantastic food good but the toilets were mixed sexes.? Sorry this does not work for me nor the 3 other women in there. Quite a shock seeing men coming out the toilet next to you.The smell from the toilets was awful...I thought it was too few toilets only 4 for the large busy pub...but perhaps it was sewage. They need to build a separate toilet for men and do something about the smell. No privacy...I feel women are losing there rights.Parking: Need to park on the road
