Hot Wood Pizza
25 Station Rd, Westgate-on-SeaThis is hands down one of the best pizza places in Thanet, if not the best! Their pizzas are absolutely delicious and so are the different offerings and toppings of the pizza. Their meatballs are just uh-mazing…. And the choc-ice to finish off the meal.
The atmosphere is great as well! It’s an independent pizza place and they serve with love.
My only wish is that they were open everyday. But other than that, this is THE place for pizza.

Westgate Fish & Chips
60 Station Rd, Westgate-on-SeaDoesnt take card paym,ents or doesnt like to but who cares there is a cash machine two doors down. Lovely food, welll cooked fresh there is a bit of a wait as they normall cook it while you wait if you dont like a wait dont go in there. Reasonably prices and polite.

21 St. Mildreds Rd, Westgate-on-SeaJust had my 2nd ever visit here (first about 3 years ago - I really should have written a review on my first visit!).
Such a gem of a place, great range of beers - not enormous, tight and mostly if not entirely local (this weekend anyway), very well kept and poured from the taproom. It's a relatively small space so cosy - and is absolutely spotless - always a great sign for a pub. There are a couple of tables outside as well so when the weather is great (or even if not I suppose) there is a bit more space there.
Bus stop right at the top of the short alley which leads to the pub - right beside the cinema.
The landlord keeps a very orderly place - rightly so as well. So the atmosphere is as well-kept as the beer!
Thanks to the two guys there (sorry, I forgot your names) who for looking after us on Sunday afternoon - I throughly enjoyed it.

We hadn't booked a table but they were very accommodating for our large group of 7.
Everyone was very friendly and the food was delicious with very generous portions.
Lots of seating available outside and inside.
I would recommend visiting.

Taj Mahal
18 Cuthbert Rd, Westgate-on-SeaWhat a find. We had travelled by train to Broadstairs for the day but it was so busy we decided to move along to Westgate on Sea. Right across the road from the station. Fantastic food and lovely owners. The wife is the chef and boy can she cook. The restaurant is just a normal homely place with no frills and food very reasonably priced. Take your own alcohol for no extra charge if you wish otherwise they sell soft drinks. Some people had bought jugs of beer from the micro pub just around the corner. Will definitely be back.

Beano Kebab
5 Station Rd, Westgate-on-SeaOrdered online line via the website, simple and easy to order exactly what we wanted. Given a delivery time of 45mins and food turned up on time, lovely and hot.
Have to say this was the best Chicken Shish I've ever had, so will certainly be ordering from Beano Kebab again, and the website made it so simple. Well Done Beano Kebab ?

Finbar's of West Bay
on top of West Bay Cafe, West Bay Promenade, Off Sea Rd, Westgate-on-SeaI went to a school reunion lunch here on Saturday 20th September 2025 - 40 odd years ago since I was last back here.
A superb lunch of fresh fish [skate for me!] The service was 10/5 and we are pretty sure it will become a first choice the next time.

Millies Beach Bar & Restaurant
Beach Rd, Margate, Westgate-on-SeaAnother great experience at Millie’s. We had a group of 21 for a special occasion. The food was excellent with no delays and everything accurate. The staff were outstanding, special shout out to Daniel, Matt, Molly and Max the Chef. Nothing was too much trouble and staff were very attentive. Would definitely recommend to others and we will be back.

I like the food here and I like that it doesn't take long to be cooked when I go into order and collect. The woman behind the counter is pleasant and the food is always cooked well and I enjoy it everytime
