Had a lovely meal in here ... Service was good and the food was excellent. We did book a table in the bar Area but moved to the restaurant ... it was early evening and was a bit loud at the bar & language was a bit choice -However its a pub and we were happy in the Restaurant. Staff were so nice.

Balti Stan

This was our second visit to Balti Stans, and it absolutely lived up to our first. The consistency of the food is outstanding, and the service is top-notch.\n\nWe visited while passing through the area — my wife and daughter fancied a curry. It was still early, so the restaurant was quiet when we arrived, but we were warmly welcomed by Stan and his team and handed menus straight away.\n\nI had the Balti Royal with mushroom rice and naan bread. My wife and daughter ordered Butter Chicken and Chicken Korma with plain rice and chips. We started with poppadoms, a pickle tray, and an onion bhaji — all fresh and flavourful.\n\nOne thing that really impressed us: Stan remembered my cucumber allergy from our last visit back in February. They specially prepared the onion and tomato salad without cucumber — showing real care and attention, fully in line with Natasha’s Law. Very reassuring.\n\nThe food was hot, packed with flavour, and had a great texture. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented.\n\nDuring our meal, Stan chatted with us and we mentioned we had a five-hour journey ahead. As we left, he surprised us with a bag of poppadoms and a bottle of J2O for our daughter — a kind and thoughtful gesture that really made our night.\n\nStan was, once again, attentive, welcoming, and genuine. It's rare to find this level of service these days.\n\nWe’re already looking forward to returning. Thank you, Stan and the team, for another memorable and heartwarming

White Bull, Oswaldtwistle

The food was full of flavour and well presented. We had the Monkfish risotto and shin beef both excellent. Shared the smoked salmon starter which was beautifully prepared.
Cara was very helpful, looked after us very well and made a very good latte.
We shall return to try the cheese and onion pie.

Village Pizzeria Restaurant

Me and the wife have been here twice now. Once with just the two of us and once with the grandson as well. They do a pretty decent pizza and garlic bread (the only thing my grandson tends to eat when we are out ? ) and the chicken fillet burger was excellent. On our first visit the wife did mistake the hot sauce for ketchup and despite my warning to try it separately first she just looked me dead in the eye and said “Kiel, it’s ketchup!” and proceeded to put on her chips. A decision she regretted quite quickly and led to me probably looking a little smug. On our next visit with the grandson she made sure she asked ?

Domino's Pizza - Accrington

I think this is the nicest domino's I have been in, very well done out, very clean, great layout , staff were very helpful and we didn't have to wait long. Exactly what you want.

Wow where can I start ! I’m 14 weeks pregnant with a baby girl who only likes sweet stuff and I got a craving for a waffle and milkshake at 11.45 with the place shutting in 15 minutes but you know what they did it , they made and delivered my order ,thank you !!

Plantation Chippy & Chinese Takeaway

Just had large fish and chips from here this evening and I have to say that currently it’s the best fish and chips in Accrington. I’ve eaten in probably every chip shop/ takeaway in town over the years but the fish was absolutely delicious. Chips were also better than anywhere else in recent times. Not sure why I don’t go here more, probably because I have a chippy closer to me on Manchester Road. Excellent!!!

Thong Thai takeaway

Just eaten from here, absolutely wonderful. Papaya salad was gorgeous. My partner had yellow curry which was mild but packed with flavour and we got a noodle dish which was lovely. Defo gonna try the whole menu. Its a must if you get the chance and anybody local should make it a regular stop.

Whitakers Arms

Had a great motorhome stopover at The Whitakers Arms. Received a warm welcome from Venessa & Jamie. The food was excellent and the pub had a warm, friendly atmosphere. Will definitely call again if in the area.

Cafe B's

My wife and I have been regular visitors since Cafe B's opened. It's unique in bringing together people from all over hyndburn. The dinning are is compact and always lively. The food is popular Hyndburn grub. Prepared by Cathy and her team each one a very good cook and they always prepare excellent food. It's a great place to visit but if you can't get in or want breakfast in bed you can ring the shop or order via just eats. They' deliver all over Hyndburn. Cafe B's is a top eatery and we recommend it.

Vegetarian options: Staff are very accommodating. My wife is a vegetarian.

Parking: On street parking on both sides of the road and adjacent streets.

Usually struggle with finding a takeout in Accrington that has any flavour or spice. Ordered from here today and have to say the food is really great and well worth the money. It was delivered by Wajid who was really polite and the gentleman on the phone line was also super polite.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Yummyz is hands down the best dessert shop I’ve ever visited. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere and the delightful aroma of freshly made waffles, crepes, and so much more.

But what truly sets Yummyz apart is not just their mouthwatering desserts — it’s their incredible staff. I want to especially highlight Syed, a wonderful special needs worker who is an absolute gem. Syed’s kindness, patience, and genuine joy light up the entire shop. Watching him work is heartwarming; he goes above and beyond to ensure every customer feels welcome and leaves with a smile. His dedication and cheerful personality make the whole experience even sweeter.

As for the desserts — WOW. Whether it’s their signature cookie dough, fluffy pancakes loaded with toppings, or their creamy gelato, every bite is perfection. You can taste the quality and care put into each item.

Yummyz is more than just a dessert shop; it’s a place that celebrates community, inclusion, and joy. A huge thank you to Syed and the whole team for making every visit so special. I’ll definitely be coming back (probably way too often)! Highly recommend to anyone looking for incredible treats served by even more incredible people.

Was so nice to see the pub busy again. Had a meal and the food was lovely, staff super friendly and service was great. I was chatting to the lovely landlady who was very welcoming. Saying they want to make it a proper local with good pub food which is affordable and bring back the quiz night. I hope it’s super successful for them, will definitely be returning.

Just had a fantastic meal at Mitali on a Monday evening. This was a great day to experience the food, service and atmosphere. 5 stars for each.

Food beat expectations. Cost was fantastic, great value for the money.

The Crafty Fox

What a fantastic place. We had the steak pie, one with chips and one with mash, both were superb. Veg cooked to perfection and the red wine gravy complimented the rest perfectly. The drinks selection is great, real ales, craft ales, bottles wine all at a reasonable price, can't recommend this place enough.

The Peel Park Hotel

Nice friendly local, dog friendly, very clean, plenty of choice for drinks, cissy greens pies ( bar snacks ) massive beer garden , pool table . The pub is situated at the bottom of the coppice which is great for walking, also they have a lovely function room available for events .

Francesco's - Clayton

Ordered a takeaway pizza which was made the Italian way using fresh dough. Tasty tomato base, good amount of cheese and well balanced toppings. Only thing that let's it down is the use of tinned mushrooms instead of using fresh mushrooms. The typical Italian pizza should always use the freshest of ingredients, so I'm not sure why Francesco chooses not to apply this to the mushrooms??

Had a delivery of food. All beautifully prepared. I had combo meat tray salad and chips and chocolate fudge cake with tub of cream. It was all delicious. Santa's Pizzas is the best take away around. We went for breakfast this Saturday, its usually a bit later in the day and we get the lunch menu, which has some good basic dishes, late meat pie, liver and onions, potato pie and the like but this week we had the breakfast menu. \nI went for the cheese and ham omelette and we had the stable and the breakfast. \nEverybody enjoyed what they had with three very clean plates. \nThe place was a little bit quieter than usual but that was maybe because we were earlier. There seemed to be more staff on too which meant we were well looked after. \nI tried the banana milkshake as I’d decided it was too early for beer, I just went for the straight shake no cream or fancy stuff and it was really thick and creamy, just the job. \nWe rounded it off with coffees and it all came in less than £40 , so a good do all round.

I don’t often leave reviews but I feel so blessed to have found this place. I have gluten and other allergies and the chef was so accommodating and helpful, I have a lot of confidence in this place. There was also a pleasing amount of choice for me compared to other cafes. The staff are warm and friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. It’s also very clean and comfortable and the cutlery was of a very good standard - these things matter! I will definitely come again when I’m next in the area. Thanks so much

Always banging food and lovely people. The breakfast before 3pm is always amazing and the kunafa is delicious, too. I dropped one star because I think they need to brush up on hygiene standards. As someone with strong OCD these things stand out glaringly to me.

Can't get enough of this place. The wings are my go to here. Although I also had the best fish and chips I ever had. They have a great house pilsner on tap and now have pauliner German pilsner on tap too. Geri in the kitchen is a great cook and Dom and all the staff are great. It's such a good vibe in there. Sheppys cider on tap as well as all the IPA 's and stouts etc. give it a visit, you won't be disappointed

The best fish by a long way in Hyndburn. Nice & traditional eating area at the back with the owner Diane always makes you feel welcome. They also cater for anyone with challenging behaviour & special needs of which I regularly bring my friend Brandon there. Its his favourite day out ! Thank you to all the team at this Chippy.

I have been twice now for food. Once for a Sunday roast, couldn't fault a thing. Delicious! Second time for the steak and wine deal. 2 steaks and a bottle for £30 (bargain). My steak was cooked to perfection, so tender and full of flavour. Will definitely be recommending to everyone I know and I'll certainly be a returning customer going forward. Service also fantastic.

This place is now called Elsie's and is next door to the old boardwalk. Visited on 22.3.25. Had a full English brekky + mushrooms. My good lady had a small brekky + mushrooms & we shared a pot of tea. Bill came to £16 odd. Food and service was simply brilliant and we will be back at some point as its 20 odd mins from us in Colne. Great place. Thankyou all the staff?❤️

Beautiful tasting fish(haddock) nice light batter, chips nicely fried and tasty, gravy i was wary of, I like a beefy gravy, this was advertised as veggie friendly but it was gorgeous.Wasnt keen on the peas

Stuart was amazing. He was the most caring bar staff we have ever encountered, nothing was too much for him. He showed up with a smile and 100% deserves recognition for his hard work. We understand its a difficult job but he showed how even when its difficult people can still be kind and do a brilliant job. He engaged with customers and did an amazing job. We didn't put any stars about eating or atmosphere, this is purely about the staff and how amazing Stuart was. We dont feel the management in the establishment appreciated the staff where deserved.

Visited for the first time today and was not disappointed! The four of us had different meals and drinks which we all agreed tasted delicious and were good value for money. Staff were friendly and attentive They reserved us a table and did not mind our last minute change of time. Will be back soon!

Was told by a friend to try them he said they make fantastic butties but you'd never know from the shop front and that's not an insult it's just very low key but when you walk in the selection of food on offer is mouth watering I just fancied a bacon bap which was delicious the bread was so fresh and tasty and I also got a lamb salad and mint sauce kofta after changing my mind from a sticky BBQ sauce and salad baguette I got it for my wife but I was so gutted to find the plastic and paper bag it was wrapped in was soaked at one end and after I carried it from the car into the house it had spilled all the lamb and salad contents along the pavement and I was left with a couple of bits of lettuce and sauce you can imagine the look on my wife's face when she went to open it, after I was found innocent to the theft of the baguettes missing contents an investigation between the shop and home began and quickly the crime scene was established cordoned off and examined it was an horrific scene birds where fighting for the remaining scraps of food and obviously enjoyed it so much they wanted to give a four star review thanks hopefully I'll have better luck next time and I'll be sure to carry it securely for it did look good ?

Had lunch here today, met my distant relatives for the first time. The food was excellent, as was the service - and of course the company. There is a wide range of food on offer to suit all tastes.

The Royal Oak Pub

Quaint little pub, glasses clean, seating clean and comfortable. friendly service. Prices are reasonable. Decor is good. Pool table was in good condition. It's just ashame there was no sky tv or food served on the premises. We would definitely revisit.

Called into the hustle bar as a group of 6 women of various ages ....1st time Id been into the bar....brilliant place....atmosphere really good....prices of beers good staff ace and music upstairs was really good too so ended up dancing...Rude not to. ?

Absolutely amazing service, I asked for alittle extra chicken in her chicken tikka as its birthday and they give her another tray with a birthday message. They went above and beyond. And food was perfect!

Great pub for away fans to attend and enjoy a few beers before and after football matches! Friendly bar staff!

This is the perfect chippy! Everything is so so so delicious and I would recommend anything on the menu. Thankfully I’m just a 2 minute walk away but if you’re willing to drive 10-20 minutes for a chippy I would recommend
