Chips are so inconsistent nowadays it's getting close to the last visit which is sad because we've been going here once a week for probably 15 years. Sometimes there's skin on the chips and sometimes there's not. Chippy chips shouldn't have skin on and I can understand if the customers are asking for it but their not.. it has always been easily the best and busiest chippy why change a winning recipe? This chippy is worth the drive to Chorley town centre. Chips are cooked well done, unlike many other pale pasty looking chip shop's fare.Fish cooked to perfection and always prompt, and polite service.Giorgio the owner obviously takes pride in his excellent customer service and it makes for a pleasant experience.Just be mindful of the "Cash Only" policy and closing times - generally 10pm. I'm sorry to say this but I was disappointed in browns chippy. Ive not been for years and went recently for a chippy tea. No large portions of chips and cash only. Only just had enough money on me to pay. Was once voted the best chippy in chorley. Hope this place gets its reputation back.
