This cafe always looked nice from the outside but felt it needed an update when I got inside. Toasted tea cake was nice but hot choc was awful. Had the consistency of emulsion paint ! Offered me hot milk to thin it out but still very disappointed. Left it. Friend ordered bacon butty. Received sausage butty but when questioned the staff they insisted she said sausage which she clearly didn’t as I was there when she ordered. Amazing, great prices,delicious- could go on for ever with the positives. Have been going to Tayah’s for many years, and wouldn’t go anywhere else. The breakfast is THE best. In fact all the food is of a high standard. Where else can you go for top-up coffee or a big teapot for one? Staff are very friendly, pleasant and give excellent service. Proper good quality food, service and a lovely environment, every single thing has been thought about in this place, went for breakfast then later bumped into the owner in the local butchers picking up her meat for the cafe, not many do that now, definitely highly recommend this cafe to anyone ?
