Staying in the hotel this was attached to and had a couple of choices for dinner - an overly busy bar restaurant with terrible looking menu or this place which was near empty. (It was a cold mid week night I guess). I took a chance here then checked the TA reviews and heart sank. Amazing service and a nice atmoshere, although the conservatory area was a little chilly. After a small issue with one of our mains, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely evening (Jon and the Manager were especially nice).

We were staying at the hotel. Our party of 4 adults dined here on a Saturday night. So obviously it would be quite busy. But there was only two staff doing practically all the work .Our lovely waitress was rushed off her feet at one point dropped a lot of dirty plates at a tableShe was mortified.The mains were delicious, the Beef stroganoff and Colonel burger .and although the lamb was delicious a lot was wasted due to the amount of hard fat on the strips of meat.
