Ferry Rd, Barrow Haven, Barrow-upon-HumberMy sons booked a table here for Mothers Day.We were greeted by Lindy, the owner, got our drinks and paid for our food then we were shown to our table.The carvery was delicious, hot and tasty.All of the options are served, I had a serving of everything and there was plenty of food on my plate, you could pick what you wanted.It must get sound odd but all of the food tasted as it should, you could taste the cheese on the cauliflower cheese, you could identify the flavour of the carrots etc.We didn’t have room for dessert but there was a great choice ?It was busy but well organised and looked like there was plenty of staff working

High St, Barrow-upon-HumberWent to this lovely little pub on Friday night for a couple of pints the staff were lovely the atmosphere was fun apart from one old cantankerous man who thought he new all the answers to the chase and was getting very upset with himself because he didn't know any of the questions apart from that lovely

Turners Bldg, 1 Barrow Rd, New Holland, Barrow-upon-HumberAlways order from here, the food is always quickly delivered and hot, we have ordered quite a few different dishes and never been disappointed. Our favourite Chinese takeaway.Every Christmas Eve for the last few years we have a get together with friends and they always insist on a takeaway from here too so it’s now become our Christmas ritual.

The New Goxhill Chippy
9 Howe Ln, Goxhill, Barrow-upon-HumberCalled in today 23 Dec , very friendly staff and a customer ,we all had a good chat and laugh even though I was a stranger . I ordered a bag of chips for my journey home I was told they won't be long just a few minutes as they were in the fryer. My only regret is I didn't order a bigger bag these chips were fresh ,hot and tasty . Apparently the steak and stilton pie is worth a try and I wish I ordered one . Cost was £2.00 something for a medium bag which was generous the something was because I couldn't believe it started with a 2.

Barrow Pizza Fish & Chips
30 High St, Barrow-upon-HumberHave a take out every Friday. The food is usually excellent but not tonight. we order the same every Friday , 3 Fish and a burger. Burger was great as usual but the fish were dreadful. The batter was rock hard and hardly any fish inside and what bit of fish there was , was as dry as a bone. So disappointed as its usually lovely. Too expensive to throw away.
