The young inexperienced lad who served me in fairness did mention that my pint was nearing the end of the barrel and it was still drinkable, but the Landlady was having none of it and insisted on not after the first but the second one poured off a fresh barrel until I was allowed to leave the bar! This is how a pub should be run. Few and far in-between these days. Great sun trap of a beer garden although could do with a couple more picnic benches. A fantastic village pub. It’s definitely worth dropping in if you’re walking along the Viking Way.The owner is very welcoming and is more than happy to see muddy dogs inside! 5*
