Visited yesterday for a meal and was very pleasantly surprised. Meal was outstanding. I opted for Gammon. This came with real chips and real battered chunky onion rings. (not frozen rubbish) The gammon was cooked perfectly and the peas were still green (I know it sounds daft but some places boil them that and leave them heating so much they go grey) The food was with us within 20 minutes of ordering, was piping hot with nice hot plates. Excellent food, served hot, fresh and speedily by efficient friendly staff.The chef came out to chat with a couple near us. He bent over backwards to accommodate them and offered to vary how he cooked menu items.The only gripe I had was that there were some locals having a drink at the bar. Not a issue but their language was rather adult. We had a great experience here at the weekend. Really great and cold beer, menu was much better than expected. My wife loved the vegan option here so overall very impressed. We’ll be back!
