12 Church St, DerehamWhat can I say! Another little goldmine I've found on my travels. Lovely people and absolutely stunning food! Pizza of dreams (literally) and Lamb Shish that 'literally' melts in your mouth. Most places (with Lamb) have lots of fat on it and by the time you get it home it's gone hard and is really chewy, not this place. By the time I got home I was worried it would be the same as other places and it was not! It was still as soft as it was when it came off the grill. It tore apart effortlessly and melted in the mouth. Just beautiful. I will definitely be going back each night I'm working here, in lovely Dereham!

From start to finish, the service was so warm and friendly – nothing was too much trouble, even with such a large group. The food was faultless, every dish was delicious, and it all arrived promptly. The restaurant itself was spotless and had a lovely, cosy pub atmosphere that made us feel really welcome. We couldn’t have asked for a better meal out and will definitely be returning.

The food was absolutely lovely and plentiful, could not fault it.
I ordered additional onion rings after seeing them on my sons steak.
Our son’s also had the chocolate brownies for dessert and needless to say it went down well ( I did managed to secure a spoonful or two)!
Lovely friendly and attentive staff and the layout/decor gave such a cosy vibe on a sunny day.
If you are on holiday in the area or nearby, do check this pub out!
Our total bill was reasonable considering the amount we ate. Plus we ordered 3 pints of Albion, very smooth drink!

8-10 Norwich St, DerehamI have recently started using this restaurant in the past couple of months, the food is on another level from most Asian restaurants in Norfolk, most of which in my opinion are average at best.
I have gone for the madras three times in a row, my son who is a chef always chooses from the chefs signature dishes menu and has enjoyed everyone.
I’d say 100% it’s worth a visit, value for money, no doubt, friendly staff, nice setting, but most importantly the food is really good.

25 Wellington Rd, DerehamRestaurant was very busy at 19.00 as they do a 4 course menu for £18.95 on a Wednesday (cash only). So I'd recommend booking to avoid disappointment.
Four went for this while the other two chose from the main menu.
Everything was delicious, especially the chicken tikka madras and the goan chicken.
Service was friendly and efficient. We will return the next time we're in the UK.

Costa Coffee Dereham
8, 8 Nelson Place, DerehamMy husband and I were in Costa this morning and the young man serving, called Matty was on his own due to staff members not being able to get to work on time. He had been on his own since opening and was coping amazingly as the store was really busy with customers. He was very professional, courteous and handling the situation so well...He is a huge asset to the Dereham store and deserves huge recognition for coping under huge pressure by himself. Well done Matty you are a star.?

Napier Way, DerehamA very family orientated restaurant as always a safe place to take my daughter (2y) the staff are fabulous especially Helen and imilia they and all the staff catering to every individuals needs. Danni and Yousef are both very welcoming. Their burgers are absolutely massive and in love with the new additions to the menus with bowls and kebabs to offer refreshing change to a local dinning out experience.

Longwater Interchange, DerehamWas my first time visiting the restaurant today and I was pleasantly surprised as even know the staff was incredibly busy they were very polite and helpful, especially the manager called Bryony that quickly sorted out a slight issue just that I had asked for the topped chips and not the normal ones! However they were definitely worth the wait as they were amazing, definitely worth a try! Many thanks to Bryony and her team tonight!

1 Norwich Rd, Poringland, NorwichIn a last minute attempt to get a roast dinner on our unexpected travels we quickly searched a place that was en-route. Poringland and the Railway Tavern popped up and we are glad it did. They managed to squeeze in our family of four. With only quickly scanning a few photos we arrived and got parked in the ample car park. A little nervous on entry as to the mixed era of building with worn, paint aging wooden doors that reminded me of my great Nan’s council flat doors. Inside we were greeted with a vibrant bustling atmosphere in a dated, no frills but familiar and welcoming place that has some modern touches and some older flint and stone worked areas. We were given our table number and sat down. Looking at the menu we were pleased to see a good range of roast dinners at varying sizes at reasonable prices. Our drinks order was taken and it was refreshing to get an efficient table service in a time were that seems to becoming more rare. The food was good with plenty of meat and veg that both adults and the kids lapped up except for the cauliflower cheese which for some reason they didn’t enjoy. The only criticisms would be where the lamb was quite rare some of it made for a jaw boot camp with its chewiness. The chicken also a little dry but moistened with gravy and all still went down the hatch. Overall a great value family meal in a popular restaurant with service I felt compelled to leave a tip for. I’m sure we’ll be back at some point.

The ladies were running around trying to juggle everything from orders to people wanting to pay and a phone that never syipped ringing!Only 2 waitresses and virtually a full cafe and people outside. The kitchen staff must also be inundated. \nPlease can you employ more staff. We also went at the weekend, don't even bother going then, hardly any chance of getting served. The waiting staff are sooo slow, wrong orders being taken, people waiting over 1 hour, only to find out their order 'had been lost'. It's such a shame as its a lovely place to visit, but I think I may take my custom to the goat shed instead.

Has kept the same 'proper' pub feel which is missing from so many places now. The only negative for our visit was the beer wasn't chilled enough which didn't make for a great pint. Overall a great place if the beer was chilled more it would be a 5* review.

Station Rd, ThetfordWe’ve just returned from a few days staying at this lovely warm & friendly pub!
The Pub felt very warm and welcoming, we found Trevor & Karen charming and nothing was too much trouble!
When we arrived it felt like a traditional pub and we received the warmest of welcomes from all the staff during our time there.
We had several fantastic meals all prepared by Trevor and I must say his breakfast is wonderful!
Our room was spotlessly clean with everything you need for a lovely comfortable break away, surprisingly quiet considering you’re above a pub!
The location of the pub was also great because it’s right next door to Thetford train station so we managed to jump on the train and visit Norwich!
I personally would highly recommend Trevor’s Reef & Beef meal, cooked to perfection and served with a smile (the best steak I’ve ever tasted!).
We were lucky enough to find on Saturday evening the pub had live music and a BBQ in the garden, the band Kill me Kate were great and again the food was fantastic, the atmosphere all evening was great.
We’ve never visited Thetford before but after chatting to Karen & Trevor we found lots of new places to explore.
We can’t wait to return to explore some more!

12 Market Pl, DerehamOrdered chicken and donor kebab to take away. The restaurant was very busy at 11.30 on the Saturday night of the blues festival. Only had to wait a few minutes and the food was ready and hot. The kebab was amazing and there was enough there for 2 meals with some left over. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Main Road, Great Fransham, DerehamI Stayed here for a model railway exhibition in Dereham and it was a lovely hotel I arrived quite late and was greeted with the lovely owner who then made us some food which was AMAZING. He gave us some food for breakfast in the morning as we were going to miss it. He then showed us to our amazing room which was exceptionally clean and our beds were very comfy.
Overall This is a amazing hotel and should have 5 stars
