37 High St, Watton, ThetfordStopped outside on a cold windy wet morning whilst cycling. A very kind, polite, friendly staff member, came outside took our order, and returned not too long after with great chocolate cake, coffee and hot chocolate. All staff lovely, would definitely stop again.

The Old Bell
1 Bell Ln, Saham Toney, ThetfordSmall local pub with friendly staff and good service. Wood burner and cosy tables. 70s Music video screen. Kitchen was closed for the first week of January so no snacks or chips. Had nuts instead to go with my cask ale. Proper Job was very good.

The Crown Hotel
25 High St, Watton, ThetfordMy son and I stopped at the Crown to watch the football yesterday on our way to Norwich. We were delighted to be served free food for Burn’s Night (which was excellent) and found the atmosphere very friendly and welcoming.
A charming pub and the next opportunity we get we will be back. Thank you for making us both feel so welcome.

The staff are friendly and will allow you to make small adjustments to your order.I'll often drive to Thetford from Swaffham to eat here.I'll buy the biggest breakfast on offer, get a coffee and a can of pop.Fried bread, tinned tomatoes, bacon and egg, what's not to love?My only gripe, is the mushrooms, I'm old fashioned, I prefer them open or closed cup, stewed tinned mushrooms don't really look good.The cafe was refurbished around 2 years ago, but still looking great. ( it used to be a USA themed thing, it was a guilty pleasure I miss. Lol)Great job
