we visited this restaurant under recommendations by two individuals. We were not disappointed. Food and service was excellent, we will definitely be returning and will become regulars. Staff were very attentive and friendly without being intrusive. It was my father’s 65th birthday which was mentioned upon arrival and without asking they produced a birthday ice cream with a candle and sang happy birthday. Lovely people and great place! Would highly recommend!

Popped in for a drink after a walk around gressenhall,really surprised how nice a pub it is,very friendly greeting on arrival and lovely ambience .Wanted a Guinness but not on tap so offered me a sample of an alternative which was good,partner had a lovely freshly brewed coffee.Food coming out looked very nice,very busy as it was mother's day but staff very calm and professional.Will be popping back but for a meal next time.

Our first Indian we have tried in Dereham and we haven’t changed since. The whole process and experience is brilliant. Their prices and discounts are the best and flavourings are really nice. The menu is big but there is definitely an option for everyone. The staff are polite and when leaving notes on the order they have called to confirm every time. Highly recommend and already looking forward to our next meal!

We have visited this pub quite a few times since our move to Norfolk last year. The staff are always very welcoming and go above and beyond to ensure our experience is a good one. All our visits have been unplanned, so we have not reserved a table, but the staff have always managed to accommodate us. The meals are always hot (if relevant) and well presented and likewise with dessert. The staff will check throughout our meal if everything is to our liking. On leaving we are bid farewell in a sincere and friendly manner and we are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Greenstone you all do a first class job!

First visit and won't be the last. Easily found with plenty of car parking at the back. We often eat Thai and this is certainly amongst the best. I had chicken satay to start, followed by chicken panang with jasmine rice. Absolutely delicious. Tasted very authentic and the waitress was helpful too.

The most inclusive, welcoming bar I've been to, the bar is for all! Such a great atmosphere. Run by the best landladies around, Sarah and Morgana have worked their arses off for the Cherry Tree - and it shows! It's traditional, warm, friendly. Real fires to sit and get toasty by! Had darts, fruit machines, outdoor area with a lush, little shelter - it's a nice, heated, Covered bit with seats perfect for smokers ? and it's next to a carpark that's free and roUnd the corner from shops, takeaway places and the ciNema. Big TVs for anyone who wanTed to watch the darts ? Dereham's best pub by far! Norfolk's best even!

My new favourite restaurant. Second is the white lion pub norwich.This place was fantastic. The staff were so helpful and patient, they gave us good advice on what to order etc. The food was incredible. We had the butterfly King prawn and squid starters followed by peeking tiger Rib eye steak - superb!! Beautifully cooked medium rare in a delicious powerful savoury sauce with mushrooms and a little veg cooked to perfection. The other meal we had was seafood ie prawns mussels and squid in a sweet sauce, which was lovely but very sweet, so would accompany it with plain rice to combat the strong flavour profiles.

Had lunch in this lovely traditional country pub after walking in the area.Lots to choose from the menu including main meals and light bites plus specials of the day, on Sundays there is also the option of a roast with a choice of meats. All the meals are reasonably priced and at the time of this review, desserts were only £4.50! such good value and I can highly recommend the Toffee Apple crumble! ?Be prepared to be patient after ordering your food as everything is cooked to order but absolutely worth the wait! ?We ate in the bar which was so cosy on a cold day with a real fire burning away but there is also a more formal dining room.The staff are really friendly and helpful and the service is excellent. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and well behaved dogs are allowed.There are lots of lovely walks in the area so you can work up an appetite beforehand.Check out the website for various events held at the pub including beer festivals!!Five of us plus a dog really enjoyed a relaxing lunch with good food and good company and will certainly return again.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options availableKid-friendliness: Children are allowed to choose smaller portions from various items on the menu.
