Main Road, North Tuddenham, DerehamBeautiful tasting food. We had the stack burger and classic lodge burger with a portion of onion rings followed by apple pie and custard and sticky toffee pudding. It was fantastic homemade food which came piping hot. We would highly recommend trying The Lodge for great homemade food.

8-10 Norwich St, DerehamI have recently started using this restaurant in the past couple of months, the food is on another level from most Asian restaurants in Norfolk, most of which in my opinion are average at best.
I have gone for the madras three times in a row, my son who is a chef always chooses from the chefs signature dishes menu and has enjoyed everyone.
I’d say 100% it’s worth a visit, value for money, no doubt, friendly staff, nice setting, but most importantly the food is really good.

13-15 Quebec St, DerehamWe had a Chinese from here on New years day and it was the best I've had in a long time. We went for a couple of the munch box deals and they were great. Really good value for money and everything was super tasty. Chicken balls were delicious.
Only personal criticism is id prefer prawn toast back in the mega box instead of crispy prawns ? but thats just me.
Highly recommend.
Really friendly service too and was able to pre order.

43 Norwich St, DerehamThe best takeaway Chinese in Dereham but the prices have skyrocketed. Every dish that we ordered had gone up by £1or more and I'm sure the menu I had wasn't that old.Plus all the extras tacked on at the end which hiked the total for our order up another £4.20! Even charging 10p for carrier bags! They used to deliver to Shipdham for free but not any more. Good thing we only treat ourselves once in a blue moon.

Longwater Interchange, DerehamMyself and friends recently had a celebratery meal. What i will say the eating experience was 5 star from when we entered and purchased our drinks to when we had our order taken to the standard of food, presentation, cooked to perfection. We did ask who cook our meal and it was conveyed to us a young chef called Kyle. All I will add is young chef will go far, he is an asset to your restaurant. We will certainly be returning. Many thanks to all the staff but in particular Kyle.

Front bar was was one room of conversation, but other rooms with more tables and darts out the back, and a small garden. Very reasonable pint (£3.90), and enjoyed the homemade Werther's shot (£2) (proceeds of which go to a local charity)!

Has kept the same 'proper' pub feel which is missing from so many places now. The only negative for our visit was the beer wasn't chilled enough which didn't make for a great pint. Overall a great place if the beer was chilled more it would be a 5* review.

Station Rd, ThetfordWe’ve just returned from a few days staying at this lovely warm & friendly pub!
The Pub felt very warm and welcoming, we found Trevor & Karen charming and nothing was too much trouble!
When we arrived it felt like a traditional pub and we received the warmest of welcomes from all the staff during our time there.
We had several fantastic meals all prepared by Trevor and I must say his breakfast is wonderful!
Our room was spotlessly clean with everything you need for a lovely comfortable break away, surprisingly quiet considering you’re above a pub!
The location of the pub was also great because it’s right next door to Thetford train station so we managed to jump on the train and visit Norwich!
I personally would highly recommend Trevor’s Reef & Beef meal, cooked to perfection and served with a smile (the best steak I’ve ever tasted!).
We were lucky enough to find on Saturday evening the pub had live music and a BBQ in the garden, the band Kill me Kate were great and again the food was fantastic, the atmosphere all evening was great.
We’ve never visited Thetford before but after chatting to Karen & Trevor we found lots of new places to explore.
We can’t wait to return to explore some more!

41 Quebec St, Derehama Wednesday lunchtime when we popped in for a bite to eat.We were greeted by lovely friendly people.We had a nice coffee first and were offered piri piri chicken cooked fresh which was ok for us.We were delighted when it came to the table.Well presented,lots of chicken,rice,chips and a gorgeous salad.The meal was superb and the staff were so nice.Thankyou smile ,we will see you next time we visit dereham.

2 Holt Rd, North Elmham, DerehamA 16th century coaching inn; we had a very pleasant stay here while I was doing some research locally. Accommodation was in, I think, a former stable block. Very nicely done out, modern, generous en suite shower and comfy bed, TV, tea and coffee making facilities with complimentary biccies and water. Breakfast included, really good, great choice. In fact, the food was fabulous here - very generous portions! Again, excellent choices for dinner and very reasonable prices.
The first night I had steak and kidney pudding- you do not see that on the menu very often! Absolutely delish. I just had coffee afterwards, I was so full. My husband had the pie of the day, steak and Stilton, which was also very good. The second night we had starters too (risky as the portions are so generous). I had moules in a delicious white wine and garlic sauce, with sour dough bread. I followed this with fish pie and veg ?. My husband had the calves liver, which he said was very tender and delicious. We left Sunday morning with another very good breakfast to set us on our way homewards.
We may not come this way again, but I would recommend the Kings Head. The landlord and staff are very welcoming, the accommodation was spotless and the food, memorable! Well done all.

8, 8 Nelson Place, DerehamMy husband and I were in Costa this morning and the young man serving, called Matty was on his own due to staff members not being able to get to work on time. He had been on his own since opening and was coping amazingly as the store was really busy with customers. He was very professional, courteous and handling the situation so well...He is a huge asset to the Dereham store and deserves huge recognition for coping under huge pressure by himself. 12 Market Pl, DerehamI recently ordered from this fast food takeaway and was genuinely impressed with the quality and flavour of the food. The fried chicken was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and well-seasoned without being overly greasy. You can tell it was made fresh rather than sitting under a heat lamp.
The kebab was another highlight. The meat was tender and full of flavour, paired really well with fresh salad and soft, warm bread. The portion size was generous, making it great value for money. The sauces tied everything together nicely, especially the garlic and chilli options.
As for the pizza, it exceeded expectations for a takeaway. The base was soft with a slight crisp, the cheese was nicely melted, and the toppings were evenly distributed. It didn’t feel rushed or cheaply made like some places tend to do.
Service was quick and efficient, and everything arrived hot. Overall, this spot is a solid choice if you’re craving fried chicken, kebabs, or pizza. Definitely somewhere I’d order from again.

The Perfect Catch

In fact, this remains one of the best fish and chips restaurants I’ve visited in many years, excelling in food quality, hygiene, and customer service. After enjoying a takeout portion of chips, I was tempted to return for a second helping, paired with a fillet of cod. Unfortunately, by the time I finished, I was already on the road leaving Dereham.
