Arrived after a really long walk I had a cauliflower and lentil pie and mash. It was heaven. I was well fed! We are fortunate to have wonderful quirky places like this. I think there was a very well stocked bar. My Malbec was good.
Not the easiest place to find, you're on a journey with purpose or lost! Good old maps got us there and well worth it. Friendly and welcoming, great food and free parking, plus really good views. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Great pub by the river (flooded during this dreadful wet winter) with lots of atmosphere and talkative staff.As for the food, stay with fish&chips but do not try anything else. I unfortunately chose the beef stew in a giant Yorkshire pudding. Tasteless with sort of Bisto gravy. Steamed vegetables served like this with nothing else.Probably better in the summer with the outdoor sitting.
