We ate at The Eskdale today. A fantastic meal in a lovely setting (both in terms of the countryside and the interior) that we'd thoroughly recommend. Service was warm without being overbearing, good range of drinks, lovely table next to a roaring burner. It was my mum's birthday and they'd set out a banner. An absolutely amazing Sunday roast today, would highly recommend the venison, cooked to perfection along with the very well seasoned sides. We got all the desserts to try each 1 and it was a tough call but the lemon curd tart just scraped top spot. Service also was great even passing on some homemade lemon curd to take home from the chefs ?

We visited for a pre New Year lunch and loved every dish selected. The chefs know what they are doing and the food is superb. we had one veggie, one pescatarian and two meat eaters and the menu accommodated us all. Good wine list too. The excellent food was complimented by amazing service. The staff are delightful.
