81 Main St, Bishopthorpe, YorkI had to get a wheel fixed at the engineers next door and had an hour to kill, so went in here to do some work. I had the finest BLT with Avo and Fried Egg. It was absolutely delicious and well worth it. Plus the cortado was made just how I like it, unlike the other chain of coffee houses and even some other indies.
The ladies that worked here were super kind and helpful. Thank you.
I doubt I'll be back here soon, as I live 25 miles away, but if you're in the area or even waiting for a wheel to be fixed like me, then make sure you to stop in at But First.

Piazza Restaurant
Piazza Restaurant, Piazza Building, Lakeside way, Heslington, YorkThe best Gluten and dairy free food I’ve had. So much to choose from and varied menu. Great knowledge from staff. We wish it was closer as we was just away on holiday and found it what a gem! Will visit again just for the pizza!!!

Strawberry Fields Cafe
Crockey Hill, YorkGreat place. Food good. Tea good too. Inside was teaming with flies so sat outside in the sun. Loos a bit grim. Hate standing in a puddle to use the loo. I'll say this is my 3rd choice cafe. Seaways 2nd and the one at Bainton 1st if you're a biker.

Retail Park, Unit 8 Kimberlow Ln, YorkPlease don’t make a mistake and be put off by the ‘out of town retail’ location and premises: food was just *fab*, my chicken handii was deliciously spiced with delicate tender meat and the best curry I’ve had in an age. Washed down with a Kingfisher Zero.

The Plough Inn
48 Main St, Fulford, YorkJust stayed here for the last couple of nights, wow what a lovely place to visit great Sunday Lunch to just light bits, the rooms are so great very well decorated with everything you need for a stay. Also easy to get into York ever bus or 30 minute walk, fabulous location too.
